Our story starts way back, in 2019
Mission
To empower marginalized communities, to promote human Rights and safe guard environment through advocacy and Community based initiatives.
WHY RHREE
Rwenzori Human Rights and environment Empowerment, realized that, there are a number of un addressed issues among the marginalized groups as well as environmental concerns in Rwenzori region, of which we resolved to find ways and means of solving the above concerns by forming ourselves into a community based Organization Subsequent to constitution which will govern the Organization’s Operations for human Rights and environment Safety.
VISION
To be a leading Organization in promoting and protecting environmental protection /Sustainability and Social Justice in the Rwenzori region.
OBJECTIVES
- To promote equality among people.
- To improve the living condition, health and education.
- To protect vulnerable groups and safe guard rights of Marginalized. Communities i.e. the needy, the Orphan and elderly.
- To protect dignity, ensure respect and worth for every individual.
- To ensure Justice by providing fair treatment due process and remedies to community members.
- To promote peace, order and unity in communities.
- To fight against human right above Human Violence, exploitation and oppression.
- To protect the environment from being miss managed.
- To sensitize communities on how to protect environment.
- To support community based initiatives on sustainable lively hoods, climate change adaptations and disaster risk reduction.
